Yamaha YZF-R25 unveiled

Yamaha has unveiled their long awaited YZF-R25 in Indonesia today. It will be released in the Indonesian market by July 2014. The bike is powered by a brand new two-cylinder four-stroke 250cc liquid-cooled engine. This engine produces 36PS@12000rpm and 22.6Nm of torque at 10,000rpm. It runs a six-speed gearbox. The R25 weighs in at 166kg, which isn’t too heavy but not featherlight either. The bike will be be priced at around 53 million Indonesian Rupiah (approx: Rs. 2.7-2.8 lakh).

The bike comes with an all new high-compression (11.6:1) engine which uses Yamaha’s unique DiASil (Die casting Aluminum-Silicon) cylinders for excellent heat dissipation and lighter weight. This is also, the first time Yamaha has implemented this technology in a two-cylinder engined motorcycle. The bike uses a steel frame and has a front suspension with 41mm inner tubes; making it one of the largest in its class (only the RC 390 with its 43mm inner tube is larger). The rear monocross suspension contributes to mass centralisation. The bike also gets a mid-ship end can which helps keep its weight distribution at a perfect 50:50.

YZF-R25 1
The superbike you can ride every day

The R25 borrows some design cues from its bigger R1 and R6 siblings such as the reverse-slant twin headlights and the pilot light in between provide for a sharper look. An air duct in-between the lamps is reminiscent of the M1 MotoGP race bike and it has shift indicator identical to that which is found in the YZF-R1.

Yamaha has used the concept ‘superbike you can ride every day’ while designing the bike. They claim that the bike is very comfortable to ride on a daily basis. Like the current R15 it should offer comfy but involving ergonomics. In Indonesia, the R25 is available in three colors; Racing Blue, Black Predator, and Diablo Red. Yamaha is targeting 12,000 sales in the first full year of sales in Indonesia alone.

The Yamaha YZF-R25 will meet stiff competition from the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM RC 390. The Ninja 300 produces 39PS but also weighs six kilos more. Nevertheless, it ups the R25 with a better power-to-weight ratio of 226PS/tonne as compared to the Yamaha’s 216PS/tonne. The RC 390 on the other hand, produces more power and weighs less than both (43PS and 154kg). It has a power-to-weight ratio of 279PS/tonne. While the RC is a single-cylinder, it is expected to undercut both its rivals when it comes to price.

Yamaha is ready to preparing R15 Version 3 and a big FZ updates for India

We  have learnt from our sources that Yamaha plans to launch one more scooter before it shifts focus back to motorcycles. Yamaha says the volumes are important and being in the scooter space and consolidating its success and sales growth is critical.
To that end, the company has oft late, been reluctant to talk motorcycles lest the message about Yamaha scooters be diluted. That, however, is set to change.
We understand that while the R25 is still some time away (and we think the IndianR25 may not have that international parallel twin engine), Yamaha is working hard to bring to market a new R15 V3.
Yamaha has only rolled out one significant update in the entire history of the R15 and we believe 2014 is when the second update comes. We believe that there will be updated styling and bits but the significant update will be a change to the the ECU which will bring most likely a smoother, fatter torque curve and perhaps a minor rise in power. There is no official word on this motorcycle’s launch plan, but we believe Yamaha will have this on sale before the festive season this year.
Yamaha is also working on an update for the FZ and contrary to the rumours of a 250cc FZ, what we are likely to get is some styling updates – see the FZ concept images for the sort of look we are talking about and a larger engine, perhaps 165-170cc for more torque and power. If Yamaha rolls this out at the same or similar price tag, then the FZ, which is a popular motorcycle in the 150cc segment, should see its popularity reignited.

Bajaj Pulsar 375 new spied pics, specifications & Price i think it's note fake

Pulsar 375 spied pics spread all over internet, we got specs

Why to expect from Bajaj Pulsar 375?

Bajaj pulsar 375, the name every biker has heard and is eager to know about. The bike came into concept when bajaj disclosed that they will be coming up with two full fairing pulsars, on 375cc and other smaller than 200cc, nobody knows the exact configuration of that second fully faired Pulsar.
Why to expect from Bajaj Pulsar 375?
bajaj always knew what they are designing and manufacturing will be a market boon someday, starting from 150cc pulsar that raised the 2 wheeler market from 100/110/125cc to 150cc. Sports enthusiast’s need was fulfilled by pulsar 150cc (that came with round headlights), evolving each year and bringing what the customer needs, going up to p180 than p200 and p220 altogether raised the bar so high other brands could never thought of.
pulsards
what Bajaj always provided was the affordability so that a common man can enjoy the pulsating heartbeats on pulsar. Bajaj dint even lagged in providing latest technology, let it be LED tail-lamps, digital speedometer, dual disc, step up seat, tank side gills (i call them these), clip on handlebars.

Pulsar 375 front fairing spied pics

The First that comes to my mind while watching this is S-E-X-Y, twin projector headlamps, new gen pulsar indicators and the devil eyes parking lights, full frontal fairing and pretty huge box for cooling system (may be oil cooled or water cooled). Wolf shaped visor makes the beast more aggressive, Rear view mirrors would me fairing mounted just as p220. Aerodynamics are perfectly crafted for this bike and bikes looks not less than a power packed Beast.

Full Frontal Look

Side looks

The most anticipated bike of 2013 is hot enough from side too, monocross suspension are used by bajaj 2nd time (after pulsar 200NS), the foot rests appears pretty sporty positioned. Bigger Disc and tires as well, shockers appear to be upside as used in Duke.

Probable final Appearance of the bike
The actual pics arent revealed by Bajaj yet but spies are everywhere and imagination never ends, the bike is said to be look almost like this:-
reds spoofing

The tires used in bike looks huge as compared to any of the pulsars and surely they would be a metzeller pair as Zappers and Revz are not upto the mark where the Bajaj pulsar 375 will take them, the rear mudguard is tire covering but half of the size of pulsar 200NS making the tire flaunt what treads it got.

Specification(Probable):

» Engine :-                        DOHC, 373.2cc, 4 stroke, liquid-cooled, single cylinder
» Power :-                    43 Bhp at 9,500 Rpm
» Torque :-                       32Nm at 8,000rpm
» Dry Weight :-             165 Kgs
» Transmission :-       6-speed
» Clutch :-                        Wet multiplate, mechanically operated
» Frame :-                         Pressed steel perimeter type
» Saddle height :-        800mm
» Fuel system :-            Bosch EFI
» Ignition system :-   Bosch EMS83
» Fuel capacity :-         12L
» Clearance :-                 150mm
» Exhaust :-                      Underbelly type with Exhaust TEC
» Tyres :-                  Metzeler 110mm front and 150mm rear

Bajaj Pulsar 375 Vs KTM Duke 390 :-

Both the bikes run on same displacement of 373.2cc and as depicted from pulsar 200NS and KTM duke 200 Bajaj will surely use the lower half of engine pf KTM Duke 390, surely bajaj engine will not be as refined as KTM Duke 390 as bajaj wants the bike to be cheaper than 390 Duke to have a better sales, although both the bikes belong to different segment as pulsar 375 will be a fully faired bike where as KTM Duke 390 is a naked street bike .
Price: 1,45,000-1,65,000(expected

After Hero Motocorp joined hands with Erik Buell Racing of USA ,New Karizma ZMR 2014

After Hero Motocorp joined hands with Erik Buell Racing of USA, the whole country
expected  for New Karizma ZMR, and here comes the spy pics of 2014 Karizma ZMR, the pics got  revealed at a event in Macau, Hero came up with new Karizma zmr and Karizma R as well. New  Karizmas are said to be loaded with more powerful engine than their predecessor versions.

The side fairing is with same old font written ZMR logo and a more than required huge PGM fi logo on a black base (attempt to make a racing decal look but a huge failure), The old heavy fairing has been bid good bye and a lighter fairing comes into picture.

maar li Messed up Karizma ZMR  FRONT:

I dont know what Hero motocorp was upto while designing the front end of the bike, were they trying to make a pulsar 220F with projector headlamps or were attempting to make it
hyosung  gt250r or r15, I guess they messed up alot and ended with combo of all and what
came out is  the ugliest front look in the country (old fazer 125 is not counted and shouldnt be counted as well, it tops the list of world’s ugliest front looks of bike). The number plate is just mounted over the projector lamps spoiling the look more adversely.

REAR: Capture

Mother of god,  what they have done to Karizma ZMR?? I am new to blogging, i dont write sarcastically but.. but.. what the hell is this ? Horn like grab rails shaping out of the bike’s appearance, is this tail of Hunk fitted with extended mudguard? Hero Motocorp has done something really really out of the league but in a wrong direction. Indicators from new gen pulsars are copied which can be clearly seen. The tail light is something you would not even like to look for over a second. New Karizma running on old styled suspension as well (monocross was seriously expected this time). what Erik Buell racing has done can somebody tell me please, it will surely be appreciated. the tire looks wider than the previous ZMR. Foot rests are also improved as well. Open chain cover is used this time which is surely a needy mod in the bike.

side rear

What Hero MotoCorp got to say?
EBR surely would have something done in the engine and hero says the same that the bike is more powerful than the previous ZMR , and we even wish the same. Because in India their are crazy speed enthusiasts as well as looks enthusiasts, so if the Latest ZMR is fast enough to make your heart skip a beat then also will be surely sold in good numbers across the country. Instrument cluster panel is partially visible in the pic which almost looks same as the predecessors.

Price: 1,30,000-1,50,000(expected)

MV Agusta has announced its latest product, the limited-edition Brutale Corsa

It is a revamped, more refined version of the top-of-the-line Brutale RR.

At the core of the Brutale Corsa lies a liquid-cooled, dohc, 16-valve, and 1090cc inline-Four. The same engin as in the RR, it delivers a whopping 158PS at 11,900rpm and 100Nm at 10,100rpm.

But the similarities end there. Separate oil and liquid radiators help cool the Brutale Corsa. The CrMo trellis frame of the 183Kg bike is supported by an Öhlins Nix USD fork and a Sachs rear shock.

Lightweight 17″ forged aluminum wheels, radial-mount 4-piston Brembo Monobloc calipers mated to 320mm discs are further changes. The rear brake uses a 4-piston Nissin caliper and 210mm single disc system.

The Brutale Corsa gets 120 and 190 tires for front and rear, respectively.

Additionally, a hand-sewn seat and carbon-fiber fenders/license-plate holder give a touch of exclusivity to the Brutale Corsa. The red and white paint job on the black frame adds to the racing aura.

The MV Agusta Brutale Corsa is available in an ABS race version only. It comes with a price tag of $27,045 (approximately Rs 16.25 lakh).

Kawasaki Ninja 300 a small detail view of new model.

If you're honest you already know that buying a Kawasaki Ninja 300R or other similar motorcycle and then only riding it around town is a bit of a waste. We are not saying that it cannot be done, but we are saying that there is more you can do with a powerful motorcycle than just that and so we think you should work towards expanding your horizon.

Go touring. The thing about bigger, more powerful motorcycles like the Kawasaki Ninja 300 partly comes from its 170kmph top speed. Motorcycles with high top speeds feel great at highway speeds. If the bike is capable of, say, 200kmph, then at a steady 120kmph, it is functioning at just over half its performance potential. Which means the engine, even high revving ones, will feel unstressed, the chassis feedback will tell that the limit is far away and so on. And this is extremely useful when you are in the saddle for a long time on a tour. It reduces the stress of the hours of riding, it calms your brain down and it allows you the mental bandwidth to actually see the world that you're passing through.

So pack your bags, India has no dearth of great riding roads and head out. Motorcycles like the Kawasaki Ninja 300 are meant to be ridden.

Go to the track. The other thing about a sportsbike is that they are the sharpest honed motorcycles, designed to go and handle as well as possible. And usually their performance envelops are so big that the only way to get a sense of what all they are capable of is to go to a track. OVERDRIVE has tested the Kawasaki Ninja 250R at the track before and it is a wonderful track motorcycle. And we anticipate that the Kawasaki Ninja 300 will be more of the same.

Track time is easy. Chennai and Buddh both run track days now and that is the cheap and expensive way to get on track, respectively. For a more focussed experience and abundant track time, go to Kari Speedway near Coimbatore with Indimotard for a fun weekend with relatively small numbers of motorcycles on track.

And racetracks also offer you the opportunity to learn mo about riding bikes fast. This is something we would recommend to everyone, no matter what bike you have. And again, India finally has options. The big name school is the California Superbike School which is held in January every year. It is expensive to attend but the quality of instruction and attention you get makes it well worth the expense and effort. It gets sold out pretty quick, so email the school today. The alternative is the Indimotard TWO Track School which OVERDRIVE is associated with. This is based at the Kari Speedway, takes place four to six weekends a year and is an affordable, fun school that will help you improve rapidly.

Bajaj Auto unveiled the next generation Pulsar today. The company has only unveiled the 200cc version of the second generation Pulsar, with smaller variants set to come in the later half of th eyear. However this time, there will be an even higher capacity Pulsar. All those who have been waiting for an affordable 350cc bike have reason to rejoice in 2013 as Rajiv Bajaj, MD and CEO of Bajaj Auto has confirmed on the sidelines of the Pulsar 200 NS launch that a Pulsar 350 will arrive in 2013! This Pulsar 350 will have competition from the likes of twin-cylinder 250cc motorcycles, which are soon to be launched in India by Yamaha and Hyosung.
Earlier this month (last week to be precise), when the KTM Duke 200 was launched, the company had revealed its plans to launch a 350cc Duke next year. Now its no rocket science that the Pulsar 200 NS and the Duke 200 share alot of engine parts. Thus, we expect the Duke 350 to arrive before the Pulsar 350 in 2013. Bajaj will use its own technology on the lower half block of the KTM motor to differentiate the Duke and Pulsar. Expect a price below Rs. 1.75 lakhs, with the Pulsar 350 using a twin-cylinder motor, producing close to 33 BHP of power and 25 Nm of torque. The Pulsar 350 might spawn new variants of the Pulsar series, giving Bajaj Auto the gateway to become a bigger motorcycle manufacturer.

Overview of Bajaj Pulsar 350

Bajaj Pulsar 350 Designing

The first look at the first of Pulsars had shocked many. None of us expected the design that Bajaj had come up with in the first batch of Pulsar, the Pulsar 150. Aiming the performance segment, Pulsar 150 was loaded with what was then called “sporty” looks. And it were not just the looks that were winning hearts, the comfort factor that Pulsars came gifted with lured riders to it immediately. The stylish bikini or the wolf-eyed headlamps, increased wheelbase, shapely fuel tanks, split seats, clip on handlebars, all black body, altogether made a feast for eyes. The colors awe the on-lookers, people go on calling Pulsars with all different names like, Emperor, Road Smasher, Small Wonder. What more, this appearance came for pretty much affordable prices. Alloy wheels are a cherry on the cake.

Colors of Bajaj Pulsar 350 Engine & Performance

If it is a Pulsar, it has to be powerful. Oodles of it. The term “Pulsar” comes from the combination of “pulse” and “star,” which literally comes quite true when we think of performance given by Pulsar, pulsating and shooting star! Bajaj Pulsar 350s come with a technology that Bajaj takes pride in calling its own. The sophisticated technologies that Bajaj builts for its engines mark a new step. For example, there is DTS-i, which gives a complete combustion thus the maximum power without hampering the mileage output, thus increasing the mileage of the bike, also the emitted smoke is not as high polluting as it was earlier. Pulsar 135LS, Pulsar 150, 180, 200, 220, 220S, 200NS, all are DTS-i engines. There is this intelligent system, throttle responsive ignition control system, patented by Bajaj, which gives a bike a balance between torque and power. This yet again helps in improving fuel efficiency. Another Bajaj patented technology, ExhausTEC (TEC standing for Torque Expansion Chamber), helps in smart torque digits, also saves you from regular gear shifting since with ExhausTEC, the bikes easily carry on at higher gears and low speeds. The latest from Bajaj's stable, Pulsar 200 NS, comes with tri-spark technology.
Mileage for every variant differs as per other specs, but Bajaj  takes care to give the best of all to its Pulsar range of bikes. Pulsar 220 is supposed to give 38 kmpl while riding in city traffic, while giving 47 kmpl on a highway. A 200 NS would return you a mileage of 35-43 kmpl. Pulsar 150 can give you a mileage of 56.5 kmpl on the busy roads and 65 kmpl on highways. Thus, averaging around 55 kmpl. Overall, one confidently can once claim that Bajaj brings a satisfaction to its consumers as far as mileage is considered. Also can one rest assured on the acceleration and pickup front. Variants of 135 cc, 180 cc, 200 cc and 220 cc have much more powerful engines than others, resulting in better engine performance and acceleration.   Depending on engines, Bajaj Pulsar 350s offer pretty high acceleration too, like a 135 cc Pulsar would be flying  at a speed of 60 kmph in around 5.8 seconds maintaining a speed of 106.8 kmph; Pulsar 150 would take you to to 60 kmph in a mere 5.6 seconds, and would run highest at 11 kmph; Pulsar 180 cc would cross 60 kmph in 5.08 seconds and maintain its top speed at 115 kmph; Pulsar 220, DTS-i engined, is strong enough to carry you across at a speed of 60 kmph in a mere 3.7 seconds and the maximum speed being 118.7 kmph.

Bajaj Pulsar 350 Braking & Handling

Superb is one word to describe braking and handling in Bajaj Pulsar 350 bikes. Most of the Pulsars come with ventilated disc brakes at both the front and the rear, which comes as a great help during an emergency braking requirement. Bajaj Pulsar 350 bikes are the most loved because of the comfort and safety offered. The upgraded technologies that Bajaj comes up with for all the Pulsar bikes, thus providing the easiest and most comfortable handling, and a feel of relaxation when it comes to control over the bike. When a Pulsar is running on the rough Indian roads, the advanced suspension system helps, which simply reduces the jumps and minimizes jerks that would otherwise be felt on the lower arms, thus improving the handling and giving a better sense of control on any kind of road. Another safety feature are the large disc brakes, offered both at the front and rear. This feature of large disc brakes helps you stop your ride right when you need, sudden or well planned. Alloy wheel, pretty light in weight, makes the rider feel grounded with a measurement of 90/90 X 17 at the front and 100/90 X 17 at the rear end. Pretty out of the context under the head of braking and handling, I would like to mention the placing of switches. The placement of switches are such that the rider would not feel their eyes distracted from the road while accessing these switches.

Bajaj Pulsar 350 Pros

With the popularity of Bajaj Pulsar 350 bikes, there is huge list of pros that could be mentioned. However, we mention the selected few here:
1. First proper sports bike on Indian roads.
2. Pricing is conveniently affordable.
3. Bajaj Pulsar 350 brings all that a sports bike should have, looks, power, etc., other than price, which is comparatively low.
4. Acceleration, pick up, mileage at its best.
5. Latest technologies; for example, DTS-i, ExhausTEC, tri-spark, etc.
6. Smooth handling and braking.

Bajaj Pulsar 350 Cons

Though not many, but still, there are a few places where Bajaj Pulsar 350 can be improved. Below is a list of found cons:
1. Gear box is not as smooth as expected.
2. Chain set of the Pulsar bikes have always been a bit problematic.
3. Also noted is some kind of a vibration if gears are changed frequently.

Bajaj Pulsar 350 Updates

The last most happening thing seen from Bajaj was the launch of Pulsar 200 NS. The launch happened early this year, to be precise, 2nd June 2012. This one was a highly awaited bike among the bike enthusiasts … expected was a high price tag, a specification-loaded sports bike. Bajaj fell true to half the expectation. No, it was not the price tag expectation that Bajaj followed, instead it was the specification-loaded thing. The bike came with a bang, at surprisingly low prices! Expected price was somewhere around Rs. 1 lakh, also as the company had announced during the Auto Expo held in January 2012. However, when launched, it was brought to public at as low as Rs. 84,096 (an ex-showroom price).
