Windows 9 rumors about to launch amd it's price issue to ... i am not pretending this is true . but it was also one of rummer like i posted about haswell and PRISM

Rumors about Windows 9 come and go, but today we echo of an information from Paul Thurott, a source of confidence that ensures that Windows 9 "Treshold" will be announced in April of this year, being the Microsoft Conference BUILD the chosen scenario.

This new version of the well-known Microsoft operating system will bring significant improvements with respect to Windows 8, among which we can name "truth" lap of the button home and changes on the interface.

On the other hand the Redmond also were immersed in the development of a unique platform on which to converge Windows Phone and Windows RT, as well as an app store unified for Xbox, Windows Phone and Windows.

Could be the final name of this new version of Microsoft's operating system Windows 9? Everything seems to point to that, and that with that name the Redmond giant would want to move away from the bad reviews given to Windows 8 and avoid, therefore, which may adversely affect its sales.

In short, Microsoft committed to a unification of platforms and application store, where will

Windows 9 could be the first operating system Microsoft offered free of charge, at least for OEM original equipment manufacturers.

The first details of Windows 9 are already appearing in the network and while media and users discuss changes in the interface as the return menu home, development options with the possible unification of Windows 8, Windows Phone and Windows RT, or launch date, Microsoft have another issue on the table for discussion: the price.

Price to be reduced from the current $40 a OEM license to 10-30 dollars in concessions that are only the beginning toward the total free, according to analysts:

"Today, when the global operating system market is observed (mobile / Tablet / PC), Microsoft is the only provider that charges explicitly by the operating system." We believe that this could prove unsustainable in the coming years, which will force Microsoft to lower the price of the system and obtain economic benefits for use/support through various methods, depending on the final customer. We believe that this is the biggest new challenge CEO of Microsoft will face in the coming years."

"In the medium and long term, we believe that Microsoft will be forced to follow Apple and Google and give away the operating system, especially in the consumer market, and use services like Bing, Skype, Office 365, etc, as primary monetization engine."

Total free Windows? Like? Supporting its forecast, the analyst makes reference to some aspects that have happened the last year and which can force total free Windows such as the arrival of Google on the PC with the operating system Chrome OS cloud; to the fact that Apple is not charged for the latest versions of Mac OS X; to boost computing in the hands of mobile systems with Android and iOS at the head or the arrival to the market of computers with dual operating system Windows-Android. A WinDroid promoted even by the main ally of Microsoft in the last two decades: Intel.

What do you think? Is it free Windows 9?

ASUS Wireless router leaves USB Storage Devices vulnerable to remote attackers

In this era of Computers and Smartphones, where we are connected to the Internet every second and use it almost for everything. For an Internet connection, one has to plug a device called Router between the ISP (Internet Service Provider) and device. Some Routers are available with USB option, where you can attach an external Hard Disk that allows files to be stored and retrieved across a computer network.

Asus one of the largest IT hardware manufacturer providing these kind of devices by which you can connect to the internet and make your external hard disk available on the Internet as FTP server just by configuring AiDisk utility from the router’s administrator panel.

Many ASUS Routers have this feature available, including models: RT-N66U, RT-N56U, RT-N15U, RT-N65U, RT-AC66U, DSL-N55U and RT-N16. Recently a vulnerability has been noticed by some Sweden users in the ASUS Routers, that allows an attacker to access your Hard Disk remotely from any part of the world, could result in complete system compromise, exposing your private pictures and files.

In my opinion, it is not a vulnerability, but a lethargic behavior of administrator to keep the device in the default configuration and providing their storage device on  public IP by which any malware can be intruded to your system hence inviting trouble for himself and its end users.

Enabling the AiDisk utility from Router makes the device available for using it through the public Internet, this feature comes with a problem if kept in default configuration which is giving Limitless access to your storage device.

If you have some movies or cracked softwares downloaded from Torrents, by this you might become a criminal by delivering Pirated Content over the Internet and even you don’t have any such information.

Using SHODAN search, I have found more than thousands of Storage Disk using Asus Routers are available on the Internet, either with no password or having default settings. You can access these IP addresses using FTP protocol i.e. ftp://ipaddress/. ASUS Company is now aware of the issue and they intend to release an update, to warn their users with recommendation to choose a strong password for device storage and Router Administrative panel. source by hackernews

Syrian Electronic Army's own website got hacked by Turkish hacker by using ordinary phishing with intelligent way by showing big security flaw

we all know that Syrian Electric Army is the most high profile rated hackers for successfully hacked all most of all highly secure we sites and servers too here is the proof

but the seen was reversed right now , as after ruling the world of most vulnerable hackers post to most Vulnerable victim position as from below post

when the time i am creating this post after this SEA [ Syrian electric army ] hacked by a security flaw of them they were not publishing their site .. so i can't give you their site link in my post of hyper link eve if it was present in entire post.

Hacking Group The Syrian Electronic Army's own website got hacked by another well known Turkish hacker 'Turkguvenligi

Today, Turkguvenligi claimed that he has defaced the official website (sea.sy and leaks.sea.sy) of the hacking group SEA. He has also hacked the OpenSSL's website two weeks ago. Today's victim, i.e. SEA Group has taken down hundreds of high-profile targets in 2013-14, including Microsoft, Obama & New York Times' twitter accounts and websites, but now they had faced a breach into their own server. The most common technique used by the SEA Group to hack high profile targets is Phishing, but in a very clever way, whereas the Turkguvenligi hacked SEA website via exploiting some known vulnerabilities in the server or website. At the time of writing this news, the whole website of SEA was down, but our readers can see the defacement mirror on Zone-H.

Hacker tweeted about the hack and tagged SEA also in it, as shown:

The Syrian Electronic Army doesn't make any comments about the hack yet, but We'll keep you updated, so stay tuned.

A Chinese firm plans to spend $165 million building a full-scale replica of the Titanic so we can expect Titanic -2 .. :P i think so

Hong Kong: A Chinese firm plans to spend $165 million building a full-scale replica of the Titanic -- the doomed luxury liner which sank more than a century ago -- as the main attraction for a theme park, reports said on Tuesday.

The original and supposedly unsinkable luxury passenger liner struck an iceberg and went down in the North Atlantic in 1912, killing more than 1,500 people.

The famous ship is a subject of immense fascination for many in China, particularly after the 1997 release of James Cameron's film on the liner's doomed voyage starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Little known Chinese energy company Seven Star Energy Investment said the replica, which is expected to cost 1 billion yuan ($165 million), will be the main attraction for a planned theme park located Sichuan, a landlocked province famous for its spicy food.

The replica will be docked permanently on a river, the South China Morning Post reported.

"When the Titanic was about to sink, the greatest extent of human spirit and responsibility was shown and that spirit goes beyond borders and it is eternal," Seven Star chief executive Su Shaojun said in an interview with the state-run Xinhua news agency.

"We chose to rebuild the Titanic in China so that such spirit can be promoted or inherited in the east," he said.

The replica will also recreate the experience of what it felt like when the luxury liner collided with the iceberg, Xinhua reported, though it gave no details of how the deadly collision would be replicated.

Construction of the ship, which is 270 meters (885 feet) long, is expected to be completed in two years and will be based on designs of the Titanic's sister ship, RMS Olympic, which was in service from 1911 to 1935, the SCMP reported.

"We already have complete design drawings, including a large ballroom and premium first class rooms," Su said in the Xinhua interview.

Seven Star are not the only group with dreams of recreating the Titanic.

Flamboyant Australian tycoon Clive Palmer previously unveiled a plan last year to build a sea-worthy replica of the Titanic which is scheduled to make its first Atlantic crossing in 2016.

Palmer's "Titanic II" will feature modern modifications -- including many more lifeboats than the original -- but will try to remain as true as possible to the famous liner.

The violin played by the Titanic's bandmaster as the ship sank beneath the waves sold at auction for ?900,000 ($1.45 million, 1.06 million euros) in October,

MIT University website defaced by Anonymous hackers in honor of Aaron Swartz

Today is January 11, 2014 and the last year on the same day a 26-year-old, young hacker, Reddit cofounder and the digital Activist, Aaron H. Swartz committed suicide. He found dead in his Brooklyn, New York apartment, where he had hanged himself.

Swartz was indicted by a federal grand jury in July 2011, accused of hacking the MIT JSTOR database and stealing over four million documents with the intent to distribute them. He could have prison for 50 years and $4 million in fines by the Court, but before that he committed suicide in fear. Swartz's father, Robert, later blamed the MIT and the judiciary system for his son's death. On the first Anniversary of Aaron Swartz, today the Anonymous group of hackers defaced the sub-domain of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) website (http://cogen.mit.edu/) for about an hour as part of #OPLASTRESORT. Defacement page was titled 'THE DAY WE FIGHT BACK'. The message posted on it, “Remember The Day We Fight Back, Remember. We Never Forget, We Never Surrender, Expect Us.”

At the time of writing, the domain was down. The attack on the website of MIT is a part of the tragic suicide of hacker Aaron Swartz to give him tribute. It was the MIT's role in the federal prosecution against an activist, which ultimately led to him committing suicide, but the U.S Government has not learned anything and they are planning to make laws stricter against hackers. Recently, The Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman 'Patrick Leahy' reintroduced a revamped version of the "Personal Data Privacy and Security Act" for tough criminal penalties for hackers

The new bill suggests 20 years in prison, rather than 10 years (currently) and also recommending to give same penalties for the hackers who even attempt to hack the systems, but doesn't succeed. source by The Hacker news ....

Download Microsoft Security essential antivirus [ 32 -bit / 64 bit ] 4.4.304 version free download with Vista,Windows-Xp,7,8 supported

Go to Down for Download buttons

Microsoft Security Essentials provides real-time protection for your home PC that guards against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software.
Microsoft Security Essentials is a free download from Microsoft that is simple to install, easy to use, and always kept up to date so you can be assured your PC is protected by the latest technology. It's easy to tell if your PC is secure - when you're green, you're good. It's that simple.
Microsoft Security Essentials runs quietly and efficiently in the background so that you are free to use your Windows-based PC the way you want - without interruptions or long computer wait times.

As optimizing Microsoft Security Essentials without making too much noise (it is clear that any other strategy had put in check the great actors of the computer security market) Microsoft Security Essentials has become the favorite security solution for millions of users, who appreciate their effectiveness, performance non-intrusive and, of course, which is free.

No doubt us that a reasons for the success of the solution from Microsoft is a very content consumption of resources, an aspect that is still important for most veteran teams. Below we offer some simple tricks to further optimize its operation without losing one iota of security:

Opens MSE, configuration, change the date and time by default for analysis by other know that you will have the computer on (e.g. at lunchtime or before starting work).

Without leaving tab configuration, it limits the CPU usage value to a maximum of 10%. The analysis will take a little more to complete but you can continue using your usual applications without losing so much performance.

You can access the Windows Task Manager and locate process msseces.exe. By clicking with the right button you can assign a lower priority, leaving more resources for the rest of your system uses. We recommend to try it, and if you notice one improves evident, use programs such as Prio to make the change permanently (by default only applies for that session).

Make sure you have marked the option to start the exam scheduled only when my computer is turned on but not in use.

Disables the sending of reports with MAPS marking the option do not wish to join MAPS. In certain scenarios it may cause application crashes or a running slower than expected when it is not possible to send the report.

It excludes some locations to accelerate the analysis, such as additional hard drives for backups or folders where you store multimedia content. It is important that you assume that those directories will not be scanned or will be protected with the detection engine in real time.

Occasionally some applications can create conflicts with the antivirus. Check the configuration of your P2P software and, of course, never install more than one antivirus on the same computer.

Prison Locker Ransomware, an upcoming malware threat in 2014

Ransomware is one of the most blatant and obvious criminal's money making schemes out there. Ransomware malware was mostly known by the people when Cryptolocker comes into play. At the time when readers were getting aware of ransomware, Cryptolocker threat had touched the peak and other money motivated cyber criminals have started developing their own Cryptolocker versions. Two hackers with virtual name 'gyx' and 'Porphyry' (admin of maldev.net hacking forum) are advertizing a new ramsomware malware tool-kit called "Prison Locker" on various underground forums with tutorials. They have developed the Prison Locker a.k.a Power Locker ramsomware toolkit in C/C++ programming language, proving a GUI version with customizable features for customers.

The Ransomware is using BlowFish encryption to encrypt all available files on the victim's hard disk and shared drives except .exe, .dll, .sys, other system files. During encryption it will generate unique BlowFish key for each file and then encrypts the keys further with RSA-2048 encryption and will send victim's system information back to the command-and-control center of the attacker.

As the developer mention in a Pastebin post , the Command-and-control center allows an attacker to set the ramsomware warning time duration, ransom amount, payment mode and also allow decrypting the files on the victim system after payment received. The addition features added to Prison Locker: The malware is able to detect Virtual Machine, Sandbox mode, and debugging environments. It will also disable Windows key & Escape key to prevent unwanted user actions. Also can kill taskmgr.exe, regedit.exe, cmd.exe, explorer.exe, and msconfig.exe processes to prevent unwanted user actions. Malw arecan startup in both regular boot mode and safe boot under HKCU. A Malware Research Group is following the development of this new Malware threat and has published his investigation report on his blog i.e. MalwareMustDie. He has investigated the identity of the Ransomware developers at his own level, could be a free tip for Law Enforcement agencies too.

Interestingly, His Twitter Bio is, 'Security enthusiast. Novice infosec/malware researcher and cybercrime analyst. C/C++ and currently polishing up my MASM' and Country mentioned as U.S.  He has also mentioned in an advertising post, that tool-kit will be available soon for the sale on various hacking forums and markets at just $100. If you don’t take proper precautions, you may lose the information stored on your computer. The people who are calling themselves Cyber Security Researchers whose work is to protect others from such threats are now self participating in the Cyber Crimes just for the monetary purpose. As mentioned earlier that NSA is spying over Non-American people i.e. Foreigners. But now it’s the high time to think that what about the cyber criminals who are operating from the USA, could be the mastermind behind major Bitcoins thefts, banking Trojans, exploit kits, Cryptolocker .. Serious threats?

Firmware vulnerability allows man-in-the-middle attack using SD Memory cards

How is it possible to exploit SD Card, USB stick and other mobile devices for hacking? Another interesting hack was presented at the Chaos Computer Congress (30C3), in Hamburg, Germany. The researchers demonstrated how it is possible to hack the microcontroller inside every SD and MicroSD flash cards that allow arbitrary code execution and can be used to perform a man in the middle attack. The Hardware Hackers Andrew “bunnie” Huang and Sean “xobs” described the exploitation method on their blog post,"it also enables the possibility for hardware enthusiasts to gain access to a very cheap and ubiquitous source of microcontrollers."

It seems that to reduce SD cards price and increase their storage capability, engineers have to consider a form of internal entropy that could affect data integrity on every Flash drive. Almost every NAND flash memory is affected by defects and presents problems like electron leakage between adjacent cells. "Flash memory is really cheap. So cheap, in fact, that it’s too good to be true. In reality, all flash memory is riddled with defects — without exception. The illusion of a contiguous, reliable storage media is crafted through sophisticated error correction and bad block management functions. This is the result of a constant arms race between the engineers and mother nature; with every fabrication process shrinks, memory becomes cheaper but more unreliable. Likewise, with every generation, the engineers come up with more sophisticated and complicated algorithms to compensate for mother nature’s propensity for entropy and randomness at the atomic scale." wrote Huang. Manufacturers have a sophisticated software that can detect hardware issues, such as bad sectors, and correct them through firmware. Hackers could hack into these flash-based storage devices using firmware vulnerability, allowing them to install malware. The firmware on the SD cards can be updated, but according the Huang revelations most manufacturers leave this update functionality unsecured. During the presentation, they reverse-engineered the instruction set of a particular microcontroller to inspect firmware loading mechanism. The attackers suitably modifying the firmware could hack any device that uses the compromised SD card (e.g. A mobile device, Wi-Fi equipped camera), the flash memory will appear to be operating normally while hacking the hoisting equipment.

The SD card could make a copy of the contents in a hidden memory area or it could run malicious code while idle avoiding detection mechanisms. When we speak about USB hacking or SD Card is hacking we must consider that we are approaching the hacking on a large-scale due the wide diffusion of these components. Microcontrollers cost as little as 15¢ each in quantity, they are everywhere and every device that use them could be hacked. Another consideration that must be done is that Governments and high profile hackers could be very interested in this type of attack for both cyber espionage and sabotage, arrange a countermeasure against those types of threat it is very hard. A curiosity for the " hackers inside"...

These cards could be reprogrammed to become Arduino open source microcontroller and memory systems. “An Arduino, with its 8-bit 16 MHz microcontroller, will set you back around $20. A MicroSD card with several gigabytes of memory and a microcontroller with several times the performance could be purchased for a fraction of the price,” he writes. So, in short, destroy your SD cards if you have any dirty info on them and keep your eyes peeled for ultra-small, ultra-fast Arduino hacks. Look closely at the presentation... and distrustful of SD cards from now on.

Hackers stole money from European ATMs using Malware-loaded USB Device

Hacking ATM Machines is nothing new, but it seems that instead of relying on ATM skimmers now some smart hackers in Europe are reportedly targeting ATM Machines using Malware-loaded USB drives to steal money.

Most of the world’s ATMs are running on Windows XP operating system, which is highly vulnerable to Malware attacks. Just like your Desktop Laptops, some ATMs also have USB sockets, which is hidden behind the ATM’s fascia. The German security researchers who discovered the hack detailed their findings at the Chaos Computing Congress in Hamburg, Germany recently. They said that the thieves cut holes in the fascia to access a USB port and then uploaded malware to the machines.

The malware creates a backdoor that can be accessed on the front panel. "These researchers explained that the malware allowed the thieves to create a unique interface on the ATMs by typing in a 12-digit code. This interface allowed for withdrawal and also showed the criminals the amount of money and each bill denomination inside the machines. This meant the thieves could save time by only taking the highest value bills." Dara Kerr from CNET news reported.

Once the thieves finished their theft at a cash machine, they would patch up the hole to allow the same exploit to be used on other machines. This indicates that the criminal crew is highly familiar with the ATMs mechanism. The malware does not appear to harvest customer PINs or other sensitive data and now some banks have upgraded their ATMs to prevent them from booting from external USB drives source by HACKER news ..

Digital Storm's first Steam Machine will be a $1,469 gaming PC

Digital Storm has a Steam Machine too. The boutique gaming PC manufacturer has just announced its own take on Valve's formula for a Linux-based game console, and it just goes to show how diverse these computers will be when they hit the market next year. Instead of trying to compete with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 like iBuyPower's $499 rig, the new Digital Storm computer will start at a comparatively pricy $1,469.
"Rather than try to compete with console pricing, our system takes aim at the high end of the market and capitalizes on PC gaming's biggest advantage, raw performance," the company's statement reads.
While details are scarce, it will come with liquid cooling for the CPU, an advanced thermal-management system of some sort, and can optionally dual-boot both Windows and SteamOS so gamers can play http://technoworld007.blogspot.in/search/label/Games%20%20detailsgames for both operating systems. Options include a GeForce GTX Titan graphics card and a 700W power supply. At 4.4 inches wide, 14.1 inches deep, and 16.4 inches tall, it's a good bit bigger than an Xbox One, but it should hopefully still be able to fit into a home entertainment system lying down. We should get more when Valve announces the full lineup of Steam Machines at CES 2014 next month.

Google opens first data centres in Asia; no plans for India, China

Google opened its first two data centres in Asia on Wednesday to cater to the world's fastest growing consumer technology markets, but the company has no plans to open one in China or India.

Choosing Taiwan and Singapore instead illustrates the problem that tech companies face in trying to feed data demand in the world's two most populous countries: With regulations in flux in India and cyberspace censorship in China, Google had to look next door.
Mobile data traffic in emerging Asia-Pacific countries will likely rise 68 per cent in 2014, well ahead of the global growth rate of 48 per cent and the fastest growing region in the world, according to Analysys Mason, a research consultancy. Tech companies normally try to keep data centres as close to the customer base as possible because distance hurts speed.
"While we've been busy building, the growth in Asia's Internet has been amazing. The number of Internet users in India doubled, from 100 million to 200 million. It took six years to achieve that milestone in the US," Google's vice president of data centres, Joe Kava, said in a statement.

"And this growth probably won't slow for some time, since the majority of people that have yet to come online also happen to live in Asia," he said.
Kava said the cost of building the centres was one consideration for locating in Taiwan, but things like data privacy policies, a highly trained workforce and network infrastructure were equally important.
"It's no secret that the Taiwanese ecosystem for technology companies is outstanding," he told reporters. "Being close to the technology companies will give us opportunity to further some of our partnerships" in Taiwan.
The importance of a country's data policies was highlighted by the way Google opened its centres in Taiwan and Singapore and its decision to double spending in Taiwan to $600 million compared to $120 million in Singapore.
While Google brought out executives and media to celebrate its Taiwan opening on Wednesday, the Singapore launch received no such fanfare.
The company has expressed concern over a Singapore regulation announced in May that requires certain websites that regularly report on Singapore to be licensed, put up a S$50,000 ($40,000) performance bond and take down within 24 hours any content that authorities deemed objectionable.
Singaporean opinion news site Breakfast Network effectively shut down this week as a result, saying the "demand to register has created a wrinkle in our barely formed plans to become a sustainable and professional outfit".
Google also announced it abandoned plans to build a third data centre in Hong Kong, citing primarily a lack of land.

Serving 2.5 billion
Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore are all popular with global tech companies because they boast well-established privacy laws, reliable power and fibre broadband infrastructure, and skilled workforces, all essential to operating data centres.

Apple Inc, Amazon.com Inc and Microsoft Corp are also building data centres in Asia in Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo. But the real appeal is the giant number of Internet users in China and India.
Google left mainland China in 2010 after a cyber attack and Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt told the Wall Street Journal last month that the company is in no hurry to return.
"China's censorship regime has gotten significantly worse since we left so something would have to change before we come back," he said.
That left an opening for China's Baidu Inc to further dominate the search engine market with a 66 per cent share this year, according to web analytical tool StatCounter, and another local rival, 360 Search, to emerge, grabbing 21 percent. Google's share dropped to 9 per cent from 41 per cent in 2009 before its exit China.
"The regulatory environment in China is designed in a way to nurture local service providers such as Alibaba, so it makes it harder for foreign companies to enter the market," tech researcher IDC analyst Leon Kao, who is based in Taipei, said.
"But adding service support in Asia such as Hong Kong still increases a company's flexibility. For example, Amazon is able to deliver goods in a much shorter time now if there's a sudden surge in orders."
In India, Google dominates 97 per cent share of the search engine market, data from StatCounter showed.
"In India, the challenge is mostly the cost of infrastructure and the ability of building infrastructure", said RadhaKrishna Hiremane, Intel Corp's Asia-Pacific regional product marketing manager of data centre business, based in Singapore.
He said putting an India-focused data centre in Singapore may not cost more, but it could affect speed.
"What matters is latency. At the end of the day, if a service provider is able to provide acceptable latency for the end customers by serving from outside the region and there's no conflicting regulation such as data sovereignty, then there's not anything in the APEC countries we know would be an issue right now."
