Re: All new octavia, our laura?
Here is an official teaser video of the same-
Skoda has released an official teaser video of the new Octavia ahead of its arrival in early Spring 2013.
The teaser video is over two minutes long and you get to see little of the car from 1:41, revealing not much, but enough to say there is nothing revolutionary coming compared to the outgoing model.
The Octavia is known for its practicality and so is the case with the new model, wich will boast a 590-litre boot. The engine range is expected to be very similar to the new SEAT Leon.
Sales will start next March from around £14,000. The Estate version will follow soon after, while the hot vRS will arrive in mid Summer.

Re: All new octavia,laura !
A new batch of spy photos with the 2013 Skoda Octavia is now available, along with a second official teaser.
Judging by the license plate, this is the same car as the one photographed during a commercial shoot, but now the images are a little bit clearer. It looks more premium than the outgoing model but on the other hand it does borrow a lot of its styling cues from several cars in the VW Group. Skoda has released two teaser photos that show the taillight design and the window pane of the rear door.
As a reminder, the Skoda Octavia III will ride on the MQB platform that underpins the new Golf and Leon. It will be lighter than the second-gen model and will be offered with more premium features for the high-end versions, without compromising the affordable variants that made the car a success in Europe.

The car has been unveiled-
Skoda has officially unveiled the 2013 Octavia.
Designed to set new "standards in the compact segment," the model has an evolutionary design with a prominent grille, a sloping roofline and a distinctive rear door "fin." Overall, the model is 90mm longer and 45mm wider than its predecessor. It also rides on a wheelbase that has been expanded by 108mm.
The restrained styling carries over to the cabin as the model has an attractive and functional interior. Notable highlights include a three-spoke steering wheel, metallic trim, updated infotainment systems and an optional panorama glass roof. The Octavia also has a best-in-class cargo capacity of 590 liters (20.8 cubic feet).
Options include Adaptive Cruise Assistant (intelligent cruise control), Automatic Parking Assistant and Intelligent Light Assistant which automatically switches the high-beam headlights off when oncoming traffic is detected.
A total of nine different engines will be available including four petrols, four diesels and a natural gas variant. Detailed specifications haven't been announced but Skoda confirmed there will be a 1.8-liter TSI with 179 HP (132 kW) and a GreenLine variant with a 1.6-liter TDI that develops 110 HP (81 kW). The latter model will average 3.4 L/100km (69.1 mpg US / 83.0 mpg UK) and have CO2 emissions of 89 g/km.
Regardless of which engine is selected, it will be connected to a "modern manual" or a DSG transmission. Front wheel drive will be standard, but all-wheel drive will be optional.
